Grounding for pets

Dogs and cats ground themselves outdoors every day. Indoors, a mat gives them the same contact in the spot they already sleep. The trick is not to make it a thing.

Where to put it

On or beside the spot they already choose: the sofa corner, the end of your bed, the basket. Put it under their usual blanket for the first few days if they are suspicious of new surfaces. Fur conducts poorly, so the mat works best where paws, belly or chin touch it directly.

Connect

Cord to the mat, safety plug to the earth point of the socket. Run the cord along a wall or behind furniture so it is not a chew toy, and keep the water bowl away from the plug. The tester pen works on the pet mat too.

How long

There is no dose. Let them come and go. Many owners leave the mat where the pet sleeps and forget about it. Storms, fireworks and the vacuum are when owners most often report their dog heading for the mat, and it is a calm spot of their own either way.

Cleaning

The mat is waterproof and wipes clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Accidents happen; the surface does not absorb them. No machine washing, no bleach.

A word on claims

We do not claim the mat treats anxiety or any condition in animals. It is a conductive surface connected to earth, and what your pet makes of it is theirs to decide. If your pet is unwell, see a vet. The pet mat carries the same 90-day returns as everything else.
