What each certificate proves, and what it doesn't.
Numbers, not adjectives. Standard 100 and RoHS are tests of the finished product. The GOTS Supplier Scope Certificate covers the silk supply chain. None of them is a claim about sleep.

How a grounding sheet is made
Two materials, and the one you touch matters more.
Every grounding sheet is two things woven together: a base fabric you lie on, and a conductive thread that connects you to the earth point of a socket. The thread does the grounding. The base fabric is what your skin is on all night.
Conductive threads are usually silver, carbon or stainless steel. Base fabrics run from polyester to cotton, linen and bamboo. So the useful questions are about the base: what it is, what has been done to it, and whether anyone tested it.

The 22 momme mulberry silk pillowcases and eye masks are tested under OEKO-TEX Standard 100 as well, and their supply chain is covered by the GOTS Supplier Scope Certificate in the table above. Less friction on hair and skin than cotton, and cooler in summer.

The fitted sheet goes straight onto the mattress. The flat sheet lies across the top of your fitted sheet, under you. The bundle adds silk for the pillow and the eyes.

Is the bamboo organic?
Yes. The base fabric is organic bamboo, woven with 10% silver thread; the fibre itself is bamboo viscose, listed in full in the product specifications. The certificates we publish are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for the finished fabric and RoHS for the sheets, both on this page with their numbers.
Why does it cost more than the cheap grounding sheets online?
Three things you can check. Ours is organic bamboo with 10% silver thread through the weave, not a printed coating that washes off. It carries certificate numbers you can verify with OEKO-TEX and RoHS. And it comes with a tester pen, 90-day returns and a 1-year warranty, so the risk of trying it sits with us.
Does it need to touch bare skin?
Direct skin contact is best. Bare feet, legs or arms on the sheet is enough; you do not need to be fully uncovered.
Does washing wear the silver out?
No. The silver runs through the weave, not over it. Wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and line dry. Fabric softener and bleach coat the thread and reduce conductivity, so those are the two things to avoid.
What don't the certificates cover?
Sleep. OEKO-TEX and RoHS test the fabric and the sheets for harmful and restricted substances. They say nothing about how you will sleep, and we do not use them to suggest otherwise.
Fitted or flat?
The fitted sheet goes straight onto the mattress and you sleep directly on it. The flat sheet lies across the top of your fitted sheet, under you. Either way the grounding sheet is the layer your skin touches.
