Questions people ask before $99
Do I need bare feet on it?
Bare skin makes the connection: feet, hands or forearms on the mat. Socks and shoes break it. If you would rather keep socks on, the wristband suits better.
Does it work on carpet?
Yes. The mat sits on top of whatever is on the floor. The contact that matters is between you and the mat.
How do I know it is actually working?
The tester pen in the box lights when the product is earthed. Touch it to the surface with the cord plugged in and you will see it on night one. Check it again any night you like.
Is it safe to plug into a power socket?
The plug only touches the earth pin. The two power pins are plastic; no electricity flows into the product. The socket can even be switched off. The cord also has a resistor built in, a standard safety part that limits the current it can carry.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap. It is waterproof. No machine washing, no bleach.
How long is the cord?
4.6 metres to the plug, which reaches most desks and beds from the nearest socket. A mains extension lead is fine; the plug only uses its earth pin.
Which plug do I get?
The one for your country. We ship the matching safety grounding plug for your delivery address, and the cord snaps to it. It only touches the earth point of the socket; the power pins are not connected.
How does the return actually work?
Email us within 90 days of delivery, we send the return instructions, and you are refunded once it lands back with us. It needs to come back in reasonable condition and not damaged through misuse, so using it is fine; return postage is yours. We will ask why, because it helps us.
