22 momme
Momme is silk weight. Most pillowcases sold as silk are 16 to 19. At 22 the weave is denser, smoother and lasts longer through cold washes.
Less friction
Silk has a lower friction coefficient than cotton, so hair slides instead of catching and the face is not pressed into a rough weave for eight hours.
Holds moisture where it is
Silk absorbs less than cotton, so it draws less from skin and hair overnight. A fact about the fibre, not a promise about your skin.
