For the hours you are not in bed

Grounding mats and wristbands, for the desk, the couch and the reading chair.

A sheet covers the night. The mat and the wristband cover the rest of the day: bare feet on the mat under the desk, the band on your wrist on the couch. Same cord, same earth pin, same tester pen in the box. Here is what each one is for, where it goes, and how to choose.

  • Mat 60 x 40 cm
  • Adjustable wristband
  • Tester pen in every box
  • 90-day returns

The short answer

The mat
A 60 x 40 cm conductive carbon mat. Bare feet, hands or forearms on it at the desk, by the couch or beside the bed.
The wristband
A soft conductive band with a copper backing, worn on the inside of the wrist. For reading, the couch, the desk and travel.
How they connect
A 4.6 metre cord to the earth pin of a socket. The power pins are plastic, no power is drawn, and the tester pen shows the connection.

Mat, band or sheet?

Three shapes, one connection.

All three connect to earth the same way. What changes is when you use each one and what has to touch your skin.

The mat

Where the mat goes.

Under the desk is the spot most people choose: shoes off, feet on the mat while you work. Beside the couch or the reading chair works the same way, and so does the floor by the bed while you wind down.

It sits on carpet, timber or tiles; the contact that matters is between your skin and the mat. Socks break it, which is why some people pick the wristband instead.

The surface is waterproof carbon and wipes clean with a damp cloth. It travels flat in its own bag.

The wristband

The wristband goes where a mat can't.

Worn on the inside of the wrist, snug enough that the conductive face stays on the skin, and clipped to the cord. It suits socks-on evenings, the reading chair and a desk with no floor space under it.

The cord is 4.6 metres, which reaches most desks and couches from the wall. The band hand washes in cool water with mild soap and air dries.

Is it safe?

The same electrical answer as the sheet.

The mat and the wristband connect to the earth point of a power socket, the same safety earth your appliances use. They do not draw power, and they do not send any in.

  • Earth pin only

The two power pins on the plug are plastic. Only the earth pin connects.

  • No power drawn

The switch can stay off. Nothing from the mains runs through the cord.

  • Check it any time

The tester pen lights when the mat or band is earthed. If it doesn't, try another socket.

  • Mind the cord

Run it along the wall or behind the desk so no one trips on it, and out of reach of a pet that chews.

Talk to your doctor first if you have a medical condition, an implanted device, or take prescription medication. Never change medication because of a grounding product.

A smaller first step.

Some people try grounding during the day before they change the bed. The Starter Bundle puts the mat and the wristband in one box, with two cords and two tester pens.

What people ask before they buy.

Mat or wristband?

The mat if you can take your shoes off: under the desk, by the couch. The wristband if you keep socks on, sit in a reading chair, or want something for travel. The Starter Bundle has both.

Do I need bare feet on the mat?

Bare skin makes the connection: feet, hands or forearms on the mat. Socks and shoes break it. If you would rather keep socks on, the wristband suits better.

Does the mat work on carpet?

Yes. The mat sits on top of whatever is on the floor. The contact that matters is between you and the mat.

Can I wear the wristband in bed?

Yes. Some people prefer it to a sheet, especially for reading. The cord is 4.6 metres.

Is the pet mat different?

It is the same conductive surface and size, sold for the animal in the house. The pet page covers placement and keeping the cord out of reach.

How do I know it is working?

The tester pen in the box lights when the mat or band is earthed. Touch it to the surface with the cord plugged in.
